The first group of 442 people received leaflets on how how to quit smoking and the dangers of smoking. The other group of 436 would receive $700 for quitting smoking for 6 months. How many people of the 878 people quit for good?
The results were that the leaflet group had a 5% success rate and the cash group had a 14.7% success rate. Find out how many people this amounts to. How much money was spent on all of the people that stopped smoking? If all of the 436 people finished the challenge how much money would it cost the University?

Good morning all!
Today we are going to investigate my dog's diet and food consumption. I would like to know some interesting stats about how much money it costs to feed Neil and Brigitte, and also whether I am actually feeding them the right amounts of food!
Part 1.
I purchase a 20kg bag (actually its an 18 kg bag with 20% extra free). It costs $120. I buy a bag every 5 weeks. For every 10 bags I receive 1 free, because I am a loyal customer!
Could you find out some interesting stats from the three pieces of information above?
Part 2.
I have read about how to feed the right amount for them. Neil is a boxer who weighs 25.7kg. Brigitte weighs 28.2kg. They go for a daily walk and play vigorously in the large backyard. I have 3 mugs/cups and I am unsure as to which cup is the correct measuring tool. Can you help me select the right one? (remember each cup may weigh a different amount, and its volumes may be different)
